While walking through the Southbank Centre, I happened upon a display of books. Not your average display mind, a bit more than that. The thing is, showing me an intriguing display of books is akin to locking a choc addict in Charlie’s Chocolate Factory so as you can imagine, I soon became lost for words. Created by Brazilian artists’ Marcos Saboya and Gualter Pupo, aMAZEme’s design is said to be based on a fingerprint of writer Jorge Luis Borges and what you get for a limited time is a spectacular labyrinth of books, 250,000 to be precise.

I had a fascinating walk through the 2.5 metre high maze and for all book enthusiasts young and old, it’s well worth the look. Catch it if you can.

aMAZEme is at the Southbank Centre Clore Ballroom from the 31st Jul – 26th Aug 2012.
