An Evening With PD James
I recently met the author PD James when she appeared at Foyles in London. The turnout was quite spectacular with a few people having to stand or sit down on the floor (I wasn’t one of them thank goodness). In the Tudor inspired room named the Gallery, adorned with framed aureate book pages, an event such as this could only mean there was a book to promote. “Death Comes To Pemberley” is the author’s take on Jane Austen’s popular ‘Pride & Prejudice’ and Jake Kerridge from the Telegraph was there to talk to her in detail about it.
PD James has been in the creative writing business for decades and is one of the giants of crime writing. But she is still very sharp, witty and an absolute joy to listen to.
